JH Promotion Sunday is next Sunday, August 16. We will be recognizing and welcoming our 6th graders moving into junior high youth group.

LET’S CELEBRATE! Next Sunday, August 16, at 6:30pm all Junior Highers (incoming 6th – 8th grade) are invited to come and play shaving cream whiffle ball to celebrate the start of a new year. We will meet on the front lawn of the church.

HS Promotion Sunday is August 23. We will be recognizing and welcoming our 9th graders moving into high school youth group.

Barclay College offers accredited 4-year degree online. Next Session Starts August 17. If you’re planning to start your college education, or want to complete it, Barclay College offers flexibility in scheduling, outstanding quality and competitive costs.

Schedule: You can find a copy of the most up-to-date conference schedule online.

The $20 registration fee covers 3 sessions with Dan Kimball, some Q&R/small group interaction with Dan, the recorded videos of all 3 sessions, and the ministry team gatherings and area gatherings.

The Sunday morning session would be free to anyone but anyone who wants to attend anything Friday or Saturday would need to register.

Cost: $20 per person

Registration: Each participant must register online. Registrants will be instructed to send their payments to their home church office.  The check should be made out to EFC-MAYM, with “Ministry Conference” in the memo line.

Guest Speaker: Dan Kimball (DMin) is the founding pastor of Vintage Faith Church in Santa Cruz, CA, where he continues to serve as director of mission and leadership. He also serves as a professor at Western Seminary and director of the ReGeneration Project, a collaboration of national leaders who desire to encourage and equip a new generation of Christ followers to bear faithful witness to the gospel with intelligence, creativity and compassion. Dan is author of several books, including They Like Jesus but Not the ChurchThe Emerging Church and Adventures in Churchland. He and his wife, Becky, have two daughters.

Guest Speaker: Dan Kimball (DMin) is the founding pastor of Vintage Faith Church in Santa Cruz, CA, where he continues to serve as director of mission and leadership. He also serves as a professor at Western Seminary and director of the ReGeneration Project, a collaboration of national leaders who desire to encourage and equip a new generation of Christ followers to bear faithful witness to the gospel with intelligence, creativity and compassion. Dan is author of several books, including They Like Jesus but Not the ChurchThe Emerging Church and Adventures in Churchland. He and his wife, Becky, have two daughters.

Cost: $20 per person

Registration: Each participant must register online. Registrants will be instructed to send their payments to their home church office.  The check should be made out to EFC-MAYM, with “Ministry Conference” in the memo line.

Keith White and Debbie Routon invite you to a wedding reception on July 19 at 2:00pm in the Youth Room. At the reception, they will be serving cookies and ice cream. Their wedding will be in Mulino, Oregon on June 27.

He has been with us every step of the way through this journey. Youth Gathering! This Wednesday, June 10, our Junior High and High School students will once again have the chance to gather together for youth group! At the fire pit in the field directly West of the Barclay gym, we will get together for a night of s’mores, games and worship. Junior high students are welcome to come from 6:15-7:45pm and high school students from 7:45-9:15pm.

Executive Council meets on Monday, June 8, at 7:00pm.

Barclay College is offering free online classes this summer which are open to the public.

“Centering Down in a Time of Frenzy” will be held June 8-28 through an online portal which allows for flexible scheduling of reading and online discussion. Aaron Stokes, Director of Online Learning, is the instructor. This three-week course teaches the longtime Quaker practice of Centering Down as an alternative approach to the worries of the season.
