Haviland Friends Church

Come and Go  2:00-4:00pm

ADOPT A BARCLAY STUDENT: The college years are a crucial time in a young person’s life. Would you consider adopting a college student at Barclay College and encourage them for one school year? This is an opportunity for you to connect with a student and encourage them during this pivotal time of their lives. This ministry will not only impact students, but you as well, in seeing God working through you to make a difference in the life of a student.

Suggestions:

  • Commit for one school year.  (September – April)
  • Contact the student at least twice a month through the method of communication that is agreed upon. (text, email, letter, phone call)
  • Send the student a care package once a quarter. The college address is:  607 N. Kingman, Haviland  67059
  • Pray for the student weekly for their prayer requests.
  • Send the student a birthday card.
  • Celebrate the student’s progress and achievements.
  • For those families in Haviland or the surrounding area, you may consider hosting the student for a meal, or invite them to get away from the college for some down time.

NURSERY HELPERS NEEDED: It’s that time of year again, we are updating our nursery helpers list. We have three rooms that we like to keep staffed to help out all of the young families who attend our church: the infant and one year olds nursery (across from the office), the two and three year old nursery (downstairs beside the lady’s bathroom) and the 4-5’s preschool children’s church. The more volunteers we have the less often each person will need to serve. Ideally we need twelve sets of helpers for each room, which would give us a three month rotation. Please talk to Traci or KC if you can help.
