This Sunday is a family Sunday (no preschool or K-5th grade children’s church). There are activity bags in the back of the sanctuary for the kids.
The last youth group will be May 1 at Peister’s Pond. All students meet at the church at 6:15pm. Junior High students need to ride in the church vans.
MAY 5 MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE: We are having a 45 minute worship service next Sunday, May 5 at HFC starting at 9:30am (no Sunday School or Fellowship Time). May 5 is the Barclay Baccalaureate service in the Ross-Ellis Center at 10:30am.
The Kiowa County High School Baccalaureate service will be here at HFC on Wednesday, May 8, at 7:00pm. Congratulations seniors!
Fundraiser Lunch for HFC students attending Kaleo Academy! Camden VandenHoek is hosting a fundraiser lunch on Sunday, April 28, in the Youth Room directly following the morning worship service. The meal is by freewill donation and the menu is spaghetti, green beans, salad, garlic bread and dessert.
We will recognize our graduating high school seniors on May 19.
Mark your calendars: VBS at HFC is in the evenings on July 29-Aug. 1!
WEDDING SHOWER
Everyone is invited to a His & Her wedding shower honoring Alissa Morford & Blaine Tomberlin on Sunday, May 19, at 3:30pm in the Youth Room. The couple is registered at Target, https://www.target.com/gift-registry/gift/TomberlinWedding2019.
CAMP FUNDRAISER LUNCH
Please join us on May 19 for a soup and salad meal after the morning service in which people can donate to help send kids and teens to church camp (camp is $250 per kid).

We are looking for camp counselors for Camp Quaker Haven. Please let Michael or KC know if you can be a counselor.

PARENTS: REGISTER YOUR KIDS ONLINE AND PAY $75 DEPOSIT BY MAY 15 TO AVOID A LATE FEE OF $35 PER CAMPER! If kids have done fundraising through the church you can pay through the church but still need to register them online.
CELEBRATING CLASS DINNER – Barclay College
On Friday, May 3, at 6:00pm the college provides a dinner for the returning Celebrating Classes. Celebrating Classes are those that graduated in ‘49, ’59, ‘69 etc. Even though the evening is planned for the Celebrating Classes, you are invited to join them. If you would like to attend the dinner, let Shirley Frazier know at 862-5319. The dinner is catered and served at the Fine Arts Center at a cost of $10.00.

NEW EXHIBIT TO OPEN IN MAY
The Haviland Heritage Foundation would like to honor our Haviland area veterans and our nurses (not necessarily military) in our early summer exhibits. If you have any pictures, memorabilia, or clothing that you would like to donate or loan to the Foundation Museum for a few months, please contact Lori Binford or Sheri Elliott (862-7200).
Beginning the first Saturday of May, the Museum will be open from 9:00am – 4:00pm each Saturday of the summer. We would appreciate your help as a volunteer to be a host or hostess for a few hours on a summer day. Contact Jeanne Sneed (862-5448) to get your preferred spot on the schedule.
