OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Would you like to be a part of sharing the gospel with children all over the world?

If your answer is “yes,” then we have a way you can help. On Wednesday, November 15, we will be packing shoeboxes to send to children overseas.

I am so thankful for this ministry because it speaks not only to the children’s physical needs, but their spiritual needs too. The hope is to give each one of these children the opportunity to hear the gospel and be discipled.

There are many ways to help….

*pray

*donate $9.00 to pay for one shoebox to be sent to a child in need

*give a donation to the church and someone can shop for you

*donate small toys, socks, clothes, hair items, a bar of soap, toothbrushes, stuffed animals, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, notebooks, coloring books, etc (please NO toothpaste or candy this year, it makes it too difficult for the boxes to get through customs). There is a GIANT box in the foyer to put your donated items in.

*pack your own box and bring it to the church

*come to the packing party

I would like to leave you with a challenge. Would you be willing to include buying gifts for these kids on each shopping visit to the store from now until November15? I don’t believe the gifts need to be expensive, the most important thing would be to ask the good Lord to show you what to buy, so that he can use these gifts to change lives. It might mean that you sacrifice a meal out so you can have a little extra money to spend. I had a dear friend tell me many years ago, “You can’t out give God!” He was right.

Blessings! Carol Williams
